Anthony Edwards has a message—and we’re here for this Timberwolves era

Anthony Edwards has the league talking, and The Black Angle is here for the competitive energy. With LaMelo Ball joining him in Minnesota and Jaden McDaniels helping carry the team’s identity forward, this Timberwolves chapter gives basketball fans plenty to look forward to. We support the players, we welcome the new faces, and we love a team willing to embrace the challenge.

The latest spark came during Edwards’s Believe That Awards. As Canis Hoopus reported, Ball and McDaniels joined him for a playful exchange that turned into a blunt, profanity-filled message to opposing teams. The clip shared below, posted by Chaz NBA, captures that brash mood. Our takeaway is the confidence and camaraderie: Minnesota wants opponents to feel its presence.

Ball’s arrival adds another reason to tune in. The prospect of his creativity alongside Edwards’s attacking game is exciting. Their partnership will need time, repetition and trust, but watching talented players learn how to bring out the best in one another is part of the pleasure of a new season. We want to see them build something together.

McDaniels deserves that same attention. He is part of the returning foundation, and this next chapter belongs to him as well as the headline backcourt. The players already in Minnesota, the new arrivals and the teammates working for their opportunities all have a place in the story. A strong team needs contributions that extend well beyond its biggest names.

Welcoming change also leaves room to appreciate the players who helped bring the franchise to this point. Fans can celebrate a new roster while respecting the work of those who came before it. That continuity gives a team’s next step meaning, and it gives longtime supporters something to carry into a fresh season.

Our position is simple: bring the personality, bring the effort and bring the competition. We’re rooting for Edwards, Ball, McDaniels and the whole Timberwolves group to turn this enthusiasm into compelling basketball. Let the rivalries have some heat. Let the players enjoy the challenge. We’ll be watching.
